Cassie's passion lies in the area of her pageant platform, “Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii.” Cassie is passionate about helping to bring awareness to others about domestic abuse due to her close experience with domestic violence. So much so she has plans to leverage her crown to speak to high schools and has already made arrangements to receive donated cell phones to give to suffers of domestic abuse so that they can have a way out in the case of future violence.
Cassie Sumimoto is heading to the University of Neveda Las Vegas where she will major in Communications with the aspirations to become a broadcast journalist.
Cassie Sumimoto offers this advice to young girls competing in pageantry, “If you have the opportunity to compete in this pageant, do it. They are the most professional, supportive group of directors and individuals that I have ever been associated with. And if you are fearful in regards to competing in a pageant know that everyone feels the fear. But your strength will come when you feel the fear and do the pageant anyways. You are a winner simply for entering. Once you compete you will never feel the same and you will notice that your self esteem will sky rocket!”
