2010 - Belle Charles Owen

Belle is fifteen years old and attends Bridgeway Academy - an accredited Christian home school academy, where she maintains a 4.0 GPA.  She aspires to one day attend the University of Louisville to study to become an oral surgeon.

Belle has a tremendous love of horses - she rides American Saddlebreds.  Her riding career has led her to 7 world championships.  Riding has taught her that self-discipline and dedication are the keys to success, in and out of the saddle.  She has been featured in National Horseman, Saddle and Bridle, Show Ring Times and Horse World for her accomplishments with horses.

In her spare time, she volunteers with an equine program called Stir-N-Up-Hope, a not-for-profit organization that provides free therapeutic riding sessions for children and adults with physical and mental limitations.  The program helps them heal themselves throughout their riding career to give them a better quality of life.

To add to her many talents, she is passionate about playing piano and has done so since the age of 6.  Belle is at a concert pianist level and has a love for classical music.
